Happy New Year! It's 2023!!

Another year has begun, lets make it a good one! My plan at the moment for this year with regards to the community will be to keep Wafflers going - I will be seeking further funding from other local groups and government bodies. I will also be on the look out for funding for Wix Village Hall, we need to re decorate some of the rooms, replace the front doors and also try and cover our energy bills for the year! My work with Wix and Wrabness Primary School PTFA will be mostly working on events for the children to enjoy that also raise some much needed funds for school projects! Wix Parish Council granted us £1000 of funding so at least the pantomime for 2023 can be safely booked and paid for now, that is a huge weight off our minds!

It seems the general theme is funding this year! I think everyone is in the same boat at the moment with regards to money, this year could be a challenge for us all. One of my words of advice on this is talk....talk to other people, they maybe having similar issues! Two heads are better than one! I reach out to others all the time, other PTA's other village halls....share the information and come up with new plans of attack together!! A problem shared is a problem halved so the saying goes!! Don't forget to pop to Wafflers as well, meet some new people and test out the theory of talking! I have been so pleased to see other friendships emerging from Wafflers, people have been meeting up for coffee round each others houses, a group went out for a bingo night at Bradfield Village Hall, it has been fantastic to see! Come along and join in, let Wafflers be your first step to a new social life in 2023! Wafflers is back on Wednesday 11th January from 2pm until 4pm, all are welcome.
